The Rehabilitation Center at San Joaquin General Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation for patients.

Individualized intensive rehabilitation therapy programs provide patients the opportunity for maximum achievable recovery and independence.

The Center has been providing rehabilitation services to patients from San Joaquin and surrounding counties since 1958.

The Center is another comprehensive service of San Joaquin General Hospital.

What is the center's patient satisfaction rating?

San Joaquin General Hospital's customer satisfaction survey reported that 95 percent of inpatients said they would recommend the Rehab Center to a family member or friend.

What percentage of patients are discharged to their homes as opposed to a nursing home or other facility?

Eighty percent of our patients, with the average age of 60 and a 18-day stay, are discharged home.

How much time is spent teaching patients and families about self-care activities?

Time spent teaching patients and families self-care activities varies depending on individual patient needs and the availability of family. However, some time is spent every day with patients to enable them to be discharged home in a safe and independent manner.

What types of psychosocial services are available?

All patients and families are seen by the social worker on the unit.
