Neuropathic Foot/Amputee Clinic

The purpose of the clinic is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to problems specific to the amputee and nueropathic foot population. The team consists of a physiatrist, podiatrists, nurse practitioner specializing in diabetic patients, physical therapists, and certified prosthetists/orthotists.

Patient population targeted:

  1. Patients preparing for amputation surgery.
  2. Recent amputees prior to being filled for a prosthesis.
  3. Amputees having problems such as pain, skin breakdown, and gait problems.
  4. Patients with diagnosed peripheral neuropathy.
  5. Patients with feet/lower leg ulcerations and/or irritated pressure sores.
  6. Patients in need of appropriate footwear/orthoses.
  7. Peripheral neuropathy patients in need of podiatry care.
  8. Charcot foot management
  9. Peripheral neuropathic patients in need of gait training of ROM exercises.

How To Refer

Referrals are received by Provider Support at 468-6112.

Hours

The clinic is held the first and third Thursday of each month from 1:00 - 4:30 pm.
