The
purpose of the clinic is to provide an interdisciplinary
approach to problems specific to the amputee and nueropathic
foot population. The team consists of a physiatrist,
podiatrists, nurse practitioner specializing in diabetic
patients, physical therapists, and certified prosthetists/orthotists.
Patient population targeted:
- Patients preparing for amputation surgery.
- Recent amputees prior to being filled for a prosthesis.
- Amputees having problems such as pain, skin breakdown, and
gait problems.
- Patients with diagnosed peripheral neuropathy.
- Patients with feet/lower leg ulcerations and/or irritated
pressure sores.
- Patients in need of appropriate footwear/orthoses.
- Peripheral neuropathy patients in need of podiatry care.
- Charcot foot management
- Peripheral neuropathic patients in need of gait training
of ROM exercises.

Referrals
are received by Provider Support at 468-6112.
Hours
The
clinic is held the first and third Thursday of each month from
1:00 - 4:30 pm.
